There are 2 experiences I have constantly loved throughout my life: that of creating, and that of encountering novel imagery. Although they are somewhat different processes, one feeds into the other. People often wonder how those who are visually inclined find inspiration, not realizing that it comes from life. From the images that compose your everyday experiences and build your visual understanding. The more you see, the more you are exposed to, the more you absorb, the richer vocabulary from which you have to draw. And so I can never resist tearing out pictures, buying cards, noticing well designed _____, or taking that rare snapshot, simply because in less than a moment’s glance, the image resonates with me or presents something new.
As long as I can remember, I have also relished the process of “making”, of bringing good ideas into actuality, either through my original design or someone else’s recipe. From crayon doodles and mud pies, to paintings and sculptures, and eventually to graphic design (online and offline), I have always enjoyed the opportunity of designing and creating quality work. If what I do might help you in any way, please say hello! I welcome new projects.
